June 7 , 2010
Winston-Salem, NC: Ryan Robertson, driver of the #23 Timothy D. Welborn/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet, is officially the points leader in the Sportsman division at Bowman Gray Stadium. Robertson started the weekend just fifteen points behind the leader. After qualifying twelfth, Robertson finished the race in sixth place, giving him the lead by just one point.
“I knew we had a good chance this weekend to take the points lead. The 100 lap race is exciting and a good opportunity with double points,” said Robertson.
Bryant Robertson and Scott Hall were also both behind the wheel for Robertson Motorsports this weekend. Bryant Robertson qualified fifth in the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston-Salem State University Motorsport Management Chevrolet and finished twelfth. The points earned for Robertson’s finish brought him up to tenth in the point standings.
Scott Hall, driver of the #36 Carolina Wood Floors/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet, qualified on the outside pole and finished tenth.
“All three cars had a solid run for Robertson Motorsports. It is still very early in the season and we are going to have to keep performing week after week,” said team owner, Mike Robertson.
Robertson Motorsports will be at Chick-fil-A on Peace Haven Road from 5:30 to 7:00pm and will help kick-off the Chick-fil-A Race Into Summer event. Ryan Robertson will be there with the #23 Timothy D. Welborn/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet signing autographs.
