Ryan Robertson Closes in on Bowman Gray Points Lead
May 24 , 2010
Winston-Salem, NC: Ryan Robertson, driver of the #23 Law Offices of Timothy D. Welborn/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet, gained some ground on the number one spot in the Sportsman division at the famed Bowman Gray Stadium this weekend.
Robertson started the first of two twenty-lap races by drawing second. Late in the race the leader hit a wet spot on the track and ran into Robertson, sending him in the air. The crew was able to make some adjustments and get the car back on the track quickly. After Robertson was back on four wheels, he was able to finish the race in fourth. Robertson then started in seventh position in the second race and finished eighth. After this weekend, Robertson is only ten points behind the leader of the Sportsman division.
Bryant Robertson, driver of the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet, made a big move from 17th to 12th in the points standings this week. Bryant was also able to finish fifth in both of the twenty lap races.
“We have some serious work ahead of us to get Ryan’s car ready for this weekend. I feel good about all of our cars this season. Ryan and Bryant are really racing well this season,” said team owner Mike Robertson.
Robertson Motorsports will be at Bowman Gray Stadium on Saturday, May 29th, for the twin 20 lap races in the Sportsman division. For more information on Robertson Motorsports visit www.RyanRobertsonRacing.com.
